COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The aim of this training is to impart to participant the skills and knowledge required for the industry stabliser and spreader skill set.
Award Issued
On successful completion of the theory component and onsite practical exercise students will be issued with a Statement of Attainment.
Assessment
Nationally recognised units of competency, student assessment for the theory/knowledge component is required. Theory workbooks shall be satisfactorily completed throughout the course. To receive the Statement of Attainment (SOA) through RudTek, students must complete a formal assessments both theory and practicals undertaken in the workplace.
- Assessment submission: All assessment tasks must be submitted and assessed within 6 months of enrolment. Assessment resubmissions are included in this 6 month timeframe.
Extension: You can apply for an assessment extension however the extension request must be submitted 10 working days prior to the due date. If you are applying for an extension on or after the due date, you must apply for special consideration. - Whilst we support our students towards a satisfactory assessment outcome, we can only support 3 resubmissions of the assignments before an extra charge will be incurred to cover our costs.
Who should do this course?
It would be beneficial for students to have a basic knowledge of stabilising operations. It is aimed at, but not limited to anyone working in the following fields;
- Road maintenance field staff
- Leading hands
- Works Supervisors
- Contractors
